Information about you
Keeping us informed
If your account details or any other information about you changes, you will be able to update via the User Administration section of the KIT platform.
How you must protect your information
KIT gives you access to your subscribed information, so you need to make sure you don’t allow anyone else to log into your account
Always keep your device secure and close KIT if you’re not using it. Don’t let anyone see or have access to your passwords and sign-in information
Push Notifications, if enabled, can appear on the locked screen of your mobile device unless you change its settings
Some devices allow you to use your fingerprint or Face ID for logging into the application. If you enable this feature, then anyone whose fingerprint or Face ID is registered on your device may be able to log into the application and access your account. Therefore, you must not activate this feature if you allow other people to access your device using their fingerprint or Face ID. You should delete any other fingerprints or Face ID registered on the device first; otherwise, transactions made by anyone else who has their fingerprint or Face ID registered on the device will be treated as being authorised by you
Don’t install or use the application on a jail-broken or rooted device. These have had their security features changed in order to work, which makes them less secure, and means that fraudsters could access your device and steal your information
You should always consider the implications of sharing your security credentials and your personal information. If you suspect that anyone else knows them, contact us immediately via Email – support@thisiskit.com
If someone wants to know your security details We won’t ever phone you or send you an email asking for your security details. Nor will we ever ask anybody to do this for us. If anyone contacts you asking for your security details, they may be a fraudster. Tell us immediately via Email – support@thisiskit.com
How KIT accesses information about you
If you use certain features (like making phone calls or Emails from the platform), the application will need to access information on your device to work. You can limit this for some features, for example by turning off permissions for phone access on your phone or not using the features.
Certain functionality linked to scanning QR codes will require access to using the camera and Near Field Communication (NFC) functions of a device. You can limit this by turning off permissions for phone access on your phone or not using the features.
You can manage how the application accesses your device or information using privacy settings on your device. You can also do it through the usage settings in the platform menu
If you don’t do this, we’ll assume you agree that the platform can access your device or information
When you use any part of the platform which needs your location to work, you agree that we (and other organisations that work with us) can collect and use information about your location
What else you need to know

If we need to change anything about KIT, we’ll tell you about the change in advance (if it negatively affects how you use the platform) or we’ll tell you after we make the change (if it benefits you or doesn’t affect how you use the platform). We’ll send an alert or display a message about the change when you next use the platform or log into our website. If there’s anything we need you to agree we might ask you to read and accept a message on your screen to continue using KIT
